The real news

The story, straight

A building project can have a glossy website while a court blocks work on the ground. A temporary restraining order tells people to pause specified actions while a legal dispute continues; it is not a final verdict.

AP reports that Judge Tanya Chutkan barred work on Donald Trump's proposed arch site for 14 days. The White House highlighted a new promotional website the next morning.

The site calls the proposed monument the United States Military Triumphal Arch.

So Lil'meme has brought a shovel to the laptop. No excavation outdoors: just catastrophic damage to the space bar.

The website describes planned ammunition storage, sniper positions and drone-launching space. These are the administration's descriptions of proposed features, not proof that any capability exists.

The useful distinction: a rendering shows an ambition, not permission to start digging. Check what the court actually ordered before treating a promotional launch as a construction launch.

The absurd

Why this is ridiculous

Excavating the keyboard.

The breakdown

How it breaks down

Court orders pause work, not promotion.

The upside

Why it could matter

Check orders, not renderings.
