The important part: pay my billy is currently an interactive demo, not a working bill-payment service. Its FAQ says no bills are being paid.

No real money moves, and its billionaires are pretend. The displayed bills are fictional examples, not evidence of anyone receiving help.

IBTimes UK reported on 3 November 2026 that the idea originated with Destiny Ndlovu's 22 October post suggesting bored billionaires could swipe through unpaid bills. The report found no verified evidence linking Elon Musk to developing the app.

The useful possibility is straightforward: make choosing a specific expense to help with easier. But browsing a request isn't the same as paying it.

Checking bills, protecting private information and delivering real payments still matter.
