Core Scientific earned $136.7 million last quarter renting out data-centre space and $27.5 million mining bitcoin — about five times more from the floor space than from the thing it was built to do. Across public miners, realized hashrate fell 13.4% in six months while the power contracts and the buildings turned out to be the valuable part.
