A radio playlist is the station's list of songs to broadcast. Recordings arrive with identifying details called label copy.

Think of a food label listing the name but leaving out the ingredients.

Polskie Radio Kierowców, Poland's public-radio station for drivers, aired an AI-generated song, Gdzie jest kluczyk?, credited to Zbiku. Airplay monitor Odsłuchane.eu counted 22 plays.

That's a broadcast count, not a listener rating.

Listeners on the Radiopolska forum flagged the track and said they couldn't find it on streaming platforms. Presserwis asked the broadcaster about it.

The final airing came shortly after those questions.

The station says artists and labels don't disclose production methods in label copy. It acknowledged insufficient checking and says AI songs are generally excluded from its playlist.

The absurdity: a rule against AI music depends on information the paperwork doesn't provide. In our imagined studio, Lil'meme is checking a laptop's throat for vocal cords.

Unfortunately, the warranty doesn't cover auditions.

The useful fix: ask how recordings were made before scheduling them. A missing answer isn't a certificate of humanity.
