The real news

The story, straight

A memecoin is a digital token traded around a name, personality or joke. Its price depends on what buyers will pay.

A famous face is not a promise that somebody will buy it back.

This week, TRUMP and MELANIA hit record lows, according to market data reported by AltcoinBuzz. TRUMP touched $1.22 against a January 2025 peak of $73.43.

MELANIA touched $0.06321 against a $13.05 peak. Those are comparisons with past peaks, not overnight losses or average purchase prices.

Lil'meme brought a jackhammer to find the bottom. Unfortunately, the floor has a basement.

This was not simply the whole market collapsing. AltcoinBuzz reports TRUMP fell 25% over 7 days while the wider crypto market slipped 1.2% over the same period.

Democrats won the House in the same week. But timing is not proof: the article explicitly says there is no confirmed evidence that the election result caused the tokens' falls.

The useful lesson: separate the celebrity from the purchase. Ask what you actually own and why another buyer would want it.

A red carpet is not a safety net.

Hardships are coming. I, the Big Dreamer, created this token to help the people.

I truly do see this token going up in value. Ride the rocket with me and let's see where the next 24 months take us.

The absurd

Why this is ridiculous

Basement sold separately.

The breakdown

How it breaks down

Prices follow buyers, not fame.

The upside

Why it could matter

Fame guarantees nothing.
