You know when a waiter finishes explaining the specials and your brain has retained only the word food? Apple is testing a wrist-sized rescue.
Unfortunately, the rescue makes a noise.
Apple's Audio Intelligence features are entering developer beta in iOS 27.3 for Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4. This is testing, not a general release; TechCrunch reported that the update had not reached the US that morning.
Live Rewind turns the last 15 seconds of speech into text when you double-press the Digital Crown, the watch's side dial. That action also triggers an audible chime and an animation, intended to alert nearby people that something was captured.

The absurd
Why this is ridiculous
Missed the conversation? Notify the restaurant.
The breakdown
How it breaks down
Double-press: the last 15 seconds become text. A chime alerts others.
The upside
Why it could matter
Catch missed details. Ask before capturing.
