The real news
The story, straight
On October 28, 2026, Solana influencer Mika (@mikadontlouz) promoted her newly launched Free Mika (MIKA) token and posted a string identified as the developer wallet's private key, rather than the public token address.
CryptoTicker traces 500,440,997 MIKA leaving that wallet 81 seconds later. Roughly 7 seconds after that, a wallet sold about 500.8 million MIKA for 376.9 SOL, worth approximately $38,000 at the time.
MIKA's price fell about 99%.
In ordinary life, publishing your house number helps visitors find you. Publishing your house key is how your furniture moves out before you do.
Lil'meme, the world's least qualified locksmith, arrived just in time to watch the vault empty.
Another Free Mika token launched within 30 minutes. Some traders claimed the episode was staged, but the blockchain shows transfers, not motives or the identity of the receiving wallet's controller.
Whether the incident was deliberate remains unproven.
The useful lesson: a token's public address is made to be shared. Your wallet's private key must stay secret.
Never put it in a social post or chat; hardware wallets can reduce exposure.
