AI PRINTS. BITCOIN DOESN’T.
I put Bitcoin in the copier. It produced smoke and a repair bill.
Finally, a machine that understands my investment strategy.
Stocktwits reports that Strive CEO Matt Cole predicts AI-driven abundance will make scarce assets more valuable, with Bitcoin topping the list. He was rebutting Jason Calacanis's call to sell Bitcoin for AI.
Strategy executive chairman Michael Saylor also pushed back, arguing AI helps create value while Bitcoin preserves and transfers it. He sees room for both.
The absurdity: I wanted a duplicate. Apparently I needed an economic philosophy and an extended warranty.
The proposed upside is that AI and Bitcoin could complement each other. These are investment arguments, not established outcomes or guarantees of future returns.
The card's preservation slogan is not a promise against losses.
My broken copier is a rare specimen. The repair shop still refuses to call it a store of value.
