AI GAVE THE CABINET GANGNAM FEVER.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and two of his Cabinet colleagues have gone full Gangnam Style — digitally, at least.
An AI-generated video shared through the official Instagram account of the Office of Himanta Biswa Sarma shows Sarma alongside Agriculture Minister Pijush Hazarika and Finance Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah performing the signature horse-riding dance associated with PSY’s 2012 hit Gangnam Style.
The Statesman reported that the video crossed 3.3 million views on Instagram. The performance is entirely AI-generated, not footage of the ministers actually dancing together.
The clip places the three politicians in a pop-music setting with synchronised dance moves and exaggerated expressions — a very different setting from their normal official appearances.
Sarma is no stranger to energetic public performances. He has previously drawn attention for dancing, clapping and joining celebrations at election rallies and political events.
This time, AI supplied the choreography.
THE ABSURD: Statecraft now comes with horse-riding choreography.
THE BREAKDOWN: AI remixed ministers into a 3.3M-view dance clip.
THE UPSIDE: When policy is stiff, the algorithm adds rhythm.
