An artificial intelligence model has a similar distinction. Its weights are the file of learned numbers that makes it run.

With that file, suitable hardware and permission under its licence, you can run your own copy instead of paying for access through someone else's server. Hardware and electricity still cost money.

On November 4, Tencent announced Hy4 as joining the world's leading open-source models. The same announcement says it plans to release weights and system cards, documents explaining the model and its safety assessments, 'in the coming days.'

That is a plan, not a dated delivery promise.

Hy4 already runs through services including Tencent Cloud TokenHub and WorkBuddy. The service is here; downloadable weights are pending.
