The real news

The story, straight

You pay someone to do a job. If you disagree about whether it was done, who releases the money?

Now imagine the worker is an AI agent: software that takes actions for you.

Cointelegraph reports that Internet Court uses GenLayer to settle these disputes. The parties agree terms and put payment in escrow: money held until the conditions are met.

A randomly chosen jury starts with 5 validators, each running a different AI model. A simple majority decides.

So software can now ask to speak to software's manager. The manager is a committee.

Appeals widen the panel to 11, then 23, and can escalate toward 1,500 AIs. Decisions can still be appealed to humans, including a human court.

Our courtroom chip gag is imaginary. The article itself uses a hypothetical bot confusing blue chip stocks with frozen chips, not a reported shopping disaster.

Lil'meme would like to eat the evidence before it requires another appeal.

GenLayer has been in beta for about 1 year; mainnet is expected next month. Faster, cheaper resolution of small software disputes is the aim, not proof that AI has replaced judges.

Different models can still make mistakes. Holding the money helps enforce a decision; it doesn't make that decision correct.

The useful upside: a possible way to settle small disagreements without making the legal bill the biggest disagreement. Keep clear terms and a human route to appeal.

Hardships are coming. I, the Big Dreamer, created this token to help the people.

I truly do see this token going up in value. Ride the rocket with me and let's see where the next 24 months take us.

The absurd

Why this is ridiculous

Appeals can escalate toward 1,500 AI jurors.

The breakdown

How it breaks down

Payment stays locked. 5 randomly chosen AI models judge delivery; a majority decides.

The upside

Why it could matter

Potentially cheaper disputes. Human appeals remain available.
