The real news

The story, straight

A convenience store is easy to enter and surprisingly hard to automate. Stocking a shelf means finding an item, picking it up and putting it where it belongs, while customers move through the same space.

AGIBOT put 6 G2 robots into that setting for its 2–3 November 2026 livestream, Robots Never Clock Out. The broadcast lasted 24 hours.

That is the camera's attendance record, not proof that every robot worked continuously.

The G2 has a humanlike upper body on a wheeled base. Arms handle objects; wheels move it around.

Think shop assistant, not mechanical marathon runner.

AGIBOT described the robots as store trainees. Their assigned work included stocking shelves, preparing coffee and hot food, greeting customers and clearing rubbish across 4 operating periods.

Humanity built robots, gave them arms, then introduced them to the ancient workplace tradition of being new and getting every awkward job.

In our imagined scene, Lil'meme hugs a coffee cup nearly his own size. The robots have batteries.

His coping strategy has a straw.

The important limit: the reviewed promotional material gives no complete policy explaining when people step in, no scoring method and no published task-completion count. A long broadcast is not a result sheet.

The useful upside is visibility. Longer footage gives viewers more chances to examine pauses, retries and recovery, rather than only polished successes.

Ask how often help was needed, not just how long the camera stayed on.

Repost before somebody promotes the coffee machine to supervisor.

The absurd

Why this is ridiculous

Even the future starts as a trainee.

The breakdown

How it breaks down

Wheels move them; arms handle goods. Broadcast length doesn't prove nonstop work.

The upside

Why it could matter

Watch the retries, not just the highlights.
