The story, straight
Being watched isn't the same as being right. A smoke alarm gets everyone's attention; you still wouldn't ask it to design your kitchen.
That's the distinction behind Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed's roast of Donald Trump. Speaking with Hasan Minhaj, El-Sayed called Trump an "idiot" and credited him with "the genius of getting attention."
Those are El-Sayed's judgments, not established facts about Trump's intelligence.
El-Sayed also said Americans are "being actively bullied by the dumbest people in the room." His argument: people who project power through intimidation should face resistance rather than automatic deference.
HuffPost reported on 29 October that a clip shared by Marco Foster on X had over 6.6 million views. That measures views of Foster's post, not the podcast's audience, and it doesn't tell us how many viewers agreed.
Our imaginary repair job makes the attention argument literal: Lil'meme disconnects a spotlight while Trump clings to the lamp. Finally, a political argument that requires a qualified electrician.
The useful distinction is between commanding attention and earning confidence. Watch the interview, separate the insults from the argument, and ask what evidence supports it.
Being loud isn't proof you're right. Neither is roasting somebody loud.
Repost if your imaginary political repair kit also contains an extension cord confiscator.
Thanks for supporting Lil'meme. Your support is appreciated.
The absurd
Why this is ridiculous
Imagine needing an electrician to end a tantrum.
The breakdown
How it breaks down
Getting people watching doesn't mean getting things right.
The upside
Why it could matter
Judge the work, not the volume.
