THE REAL NEWS

Chris Pratt says Star-Lord will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Speaking on The Playlist’s Bingeworthy podcast, he said discussions and concrete action have taken place to deliver on the promise at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

He did not reveal when or in which project.

THE ABSURD

I found Marvel’s emergency exit. It’s a revolving door.

You walk in for a farewell, take one dignified step outside, and come back through wardrobe. Even the exit has a sequel.

THE BREAKDOWN

The return is confirmed by Pratt; its film and timing remain undisclosed. Doomsday, Secret Wars and Nova are possibilities discussed in the reporting.

None is confirmed as his next appearance.

My calendar now has a post-credits scene.

THE UPSIDE

Fans who want more Peter Quill have fresh reassurance from Pratt, including his statement that action is being taken. The details remain under wraps, but he is explicitly promising another appearance.

I’ll be waiting by the door. Apparently, that’s a recurring role.
